Sustainable Immigration for Advanced Economies
Modelling immigration levels against housing, labour and service capacity to find the pace an economy can sustain.
Ageing economies depend on immigration to hold up their workforces and tax bases, yet housing starts, healthcare capacity, transit and settlement services are planned on different cycles by different levels of government. Targets get set nationally and the consequences land locally. This study models immigration levels against housing, labour and service capacity by region to find the mix and pace an economy can sustain, and what infrastructure has to move first.
